Dear Valued Customers,

Cypress Valley Meat Company will be providing “curbside” services in order to limit potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus to our staff and families. Local meat processing is essential to local food supply chains, our community and farmer livelihoods. Business hours will remain the same for all locations, however effective Monday March 23, 2020 we will close off the lobbies to the public.

Despite closing our lobby, we will still be available to meet your processing and retail needs. All services will be performed curbside including retail sales, animal drop-offs and customer pick-ups.

During this time, we will be expanding on many of the safeguards and sanitation requirements set in place by USDA and other regulating agencies to pay special attention to staff hygiene and facility cleanliness. We feel like going above and beyond normal sanitation practices will help us protect our employees and their families while still producing the highest quality products our customers demand.

When you arrive at one of our facilities, please call the appropriate number to inform the staff that you are here and what service you are requesting, including a menu of retail meats available for sale at our Pottsville location.

Once you call, Cypress Valley staff will direct your transaction appropriately by phone or by curbside. Please be patient as we all adjust to this new process, and please follow the directions given by our staff in order to conduct your transactions safely and appropriately during this time.

With respect to the communities we work in: Andy Shaw CEO

Deer Processing

Deer hunting is a terrific sport and venison is delicious. Butchering a deer yourself? Not so much fun. That’s why we here at the Cypress Valley Meat Company are delighted to do it for you. Deer processing is what we do best.

For over 15 years, we’ve been portioning the venison steaks, loin chops and other cuts you’ll be grilling, cooking and enjoying long after deer season is over. We can even make venison sausage from your deer. Processing a deer is not easy, so let us do it for you.

The Art of Deer Processing

Game meat tends to be tougher than commercial cuts of meat. If a deer isn’t processed in exactly the right way, the resulting meat will be even tougher and it won’t look appetizing lying there on your plate. At Cypress Valley Meat Company, we’ve had years of experience cutting deer meat the right way, against the grain, so that the resulting meat is tender and juicy.

We also know how to butcher the carcass to get cuts of meat that you can use, so none of your deer gets wasted. You may even get to taste cuts you’ve never eaten before. Loin chops, for example, are one of the most delicious parts of the deer but they’re a dish many deer hunters who do their own butchering never get to taste because the chops are so difficult to separate from the surrounding musculature of the back and spine.

Here at the Cypress Valley Meat Company, we process hundreds of deer every year, which makes us the experts. Just choose from one of our many processing and packaging selections. We will process your deer to your specifications, promptly and at an affordable price.
